    MEETING MINUTES

 

LEPC Meeting – January 25, 2024

The meeting was called to order at 12:30 PM in the conference room of Scioto County Job & Family Services by Information & Emergency Response Coordinator Larry Mullins. A quorum was established.

III.          Items of Business:

 

a. LEPC 2024 Grant Application: Information & Emergency Response Coordinator Larry Mullins has worked on the 2024 LEPC Grant application and as part of that process the LEPC needs to pass a resolution authorizing Coordinator Mullins to execute, file and provide any additional information to the SERC on behalf of the LEPC.

A copy of the proposed resolution was sent to all the committee members for review.

 

·       Motion: Approve resolution authorizing execution – AYEs = 32, NAYs = 0, ABSTAINs = 2.

·       Vote: Approval of resolution

·       Resolved: Resolution was approved without modification.

 

        

b. EMA Planning Invoice: A copy of the invoice from Scioto EMA to the LEPC in the amount of $10,500 for planning services in 2024 was sent to the members for review. A motion is needed to pay the invoice when funds become available.

 

·       Motion: Approve payment of invoice - made by Jim Delabar.

·       Motion: Seconded by Paul Sheets.

·       Vote: Unanimous approval

·       Resolved: Approval for payment of invoice was approved without modification.

 

 

c. 2024 LEPC Exercise: The 2024 LEPC Exercise Committee held an organizational meeting on December 21, 2023, and a follow up meeting on January 11, 2024. This year’s exercise will be a tabletop and will evaluate the following objectives: Incident Assessment, Incident Command, Response Personnel Safety, and Emergency Public Information. A tentative date has been set for Saturday, May 4, 2024. Minford Fire Department has agreed to host the drill at their fire department located at 8484 SR335 in Minford. Discussion was held on 30-day notice of exercise and next planning meeting date was moved to 1400 hours on March 28, 2024, at the Scioto County EOC.

 

IV.          Agency Updates: The meeting concluded with various agencies updating the group on the latest activities at their agencies.
