MEETING MINUTES

Committee Meeting - March 26, 2021

Meeting was called to order at 12-Noon virtually via Zoom. A quorum was established

Approval of Minutes:

· Motion: Approve minutes from 29 January 2021 meeting - made by Jim Delabar.

· Motion: Seconded by Scott Williams.

· Vote: Unanimous approval

· Resolved: Minutes from 29 January 2021 meeting approved without modification.

Reports:

· Financial Report given by EMA Director Larry Mullins.

· Motion: Approve financial report - made by George Moore.

· Motion: Seconded by Dr. Barhorst.

· Vote: Unanimous approval

· Resolved: Financial report was approved without modification.

· Director’s report given by EMA Director Larry Mullins. There were no questions or comments.

Business:

· Motion from Kim Carver to adopt a resolution to the SERC authorizing LEPC Chairperson Bill Raison to apply for an exemption from the FY2020 & FY2021 required annual exercise of the hazardous materials plan.

· Motion was seconded by Justin Clark.

· Vote: 16 - For, 0 - Against, 0 -Abstained.

· Resolved: The resolution authorizing Bill Raison, LEPC Chairperson to submit letters and other required documents to the SERC requesting exemptions from the FY2020 and FY2021 LEPC exercise requirement was approved without modification.

Updates:

· Roy Grimmett & Amber Dean gave updates on recent activities of the Red Cross

· Tammy Moore gave an update on recent activities of the Scioto County Department of Job & Family Services

· Jane Jarrells gave an update on recent activities of the Salvation Army

· Bill Raison gave an update on Portsmouth’s Fire Department’s role in helping with the current vaccine efforts

· David Hall gave an update on recent activities at the Southern Ohio Medical Center

· Chad Wamsley gave an update on recent activities at the Portsmouth City Hall Department

· Greg Gulker gave an update on recent activities at Compass Community Health

· James Neal gave an update on recent activities at King’s Daughters Medical Center

· Dr. Barhorst gave an update on recent activities at Portsmouth Ambulance

· Jon Peters gave an update on recent activities at Shawnee State University

Adjournment:
